Bike Lane in Middle of Korean Highway Generates Power From Solar Energy
South Korea always comes up with great technological developments. We have been reading about paving parking lots and roads in solar panels, but now there is a 20-mile long bike lane generating power from solar energy in South Korea.
More About this Solar Panel-Covered Bike Lane:
This bike lane is placed in the middle of a six-lane highway in Korea that connects the cities of Daejeon and Sejong. The lane is protected by barriers and is around 20 miles (32 km) long. This green road is few a hours’ drive from the capital city of Seoul.
This bike lane not only reduces traffic congestion but also generates electricity and provides shade and cover from rain for the cyclists as they ride.
